It is up to us to make conscious decisions when choosing our clothing and taking care of it. Doing quality garment care correctly can lengthen the lifespan of your warming stripes clothing, is important to keeping them looking good and clean for years, and a significant step in the right direction for protecting the environment.

To best preserve the quality of your 100% recycled polyester fabric warming stripes shirt, you should hand wash or machine wash it on the gentle cycle with cold water and all natural, mild detergent while using a washing bag that prevents microplastic pollution when washing synthetic clothes. Turn the shirt inside out to avoid pilling. Recycled polyester fabric has a tendency to become a little stiff after washing and produce static electricity, so you may want to add an all natural fabric softener during rinsing. Do not use bleach.

Do not tumble dry. Shirt is best air dried immediately after washing to avoid shrinkage and minimize the need for ironing. Squeezing out excess water will make hang drying much faster, but do not wring or twist the shirt or you will stretch and damage the fibers. Polyester does not absorb moisture well and generally does not wrinkle very much. If you choose to iron your shirt, turn the shirt inside out and use a damp press cloth in between the fabric and iron to protect the fabric from direct contact with the iron. Use a low temperature setting, as polyester is very sensitive to heat. Do not dry clean.

An environmental impact is left behind with every step we take. The waste we produce can be significantly reduced by making more sustainable choices, beginning with the purchase of clothing and including how it is washed. Here are some tips and tricks for a more eco-friendly approach to garment care:

When purchasing a new washing machine, consider upgrading to a high-efficiency washing machine to save on water, energy and detergent.
Wash your clothes in cold water as often as possible. Hot water takes a lot of energy to heat up, and can put unnecessary stress on clothes and shorten their lifespan.
Evaluate the need for detergents and the amount you use when washing your clothes. Switch to more sustainable fabric care products, like plant-based detergents, and avoid contributing to landfills by buying laundry detergent and fabric conditioner that come in recyclable containers.
Go a few more wears with certain items before washing them and only toss laundry in the wash when you have an adequately sized load.
To cut down on your microplastic impact, use a wash bag that can capture these fibers in the wash. They are shed from synthetic materials such as polyester, fleece and nylon, and have a significant impact on the environment, with a portion of the microplastic concentration in our oceans coming from laundry wastewater.
Air-dry clothes more and use a dryer only when needed. Dryers use a lot of energy.

An environmentally-conscious lifestyle extends to the laundry room as well!

To remove the size and care labels from the shirt correctly and without damaging the garment, hold the seam of the shirt tightly and tear away each label one at a time. Alternatively, you can use a pair of scissors to cut off the labels, being careful not to cut the threads or shirt.

The steps for ordering are:

Step 1) Select the size following the Size Guide. If ordering multiple shirts with different sizes, continue to select the other size(s) you wish to add to your order. Give the website a moment and the order form will dynamically update itself without you having to reload the page. The quantity for each different sized shirt can be adjusted in the Order Summary section.
Step 2) Enter your Email address and Full Name.
Step 3) Enter the Shipping Address.
Step 4) Select the method of payment: Credit Card or PayPal. Enter all your payment information.
Step 5) Review the Order Summary to ensure everything is accurate. To change the quantity, select the +/- button next to the item and then wait a moment, as the shopping cart will automatically update itself. If you want to remove a shirt from the shopping cart, select the ‘X’ on the right side of the listing.
Step 6) If you have a promotional code, enter it by selecting ‘Add Coupon Code’ to reveal the input box. If the code is applicable the price will automatically update itself. If the price does not change, please check the promotion’s terms and conditions and make sure it applies.
Step 7) Carefully review everything you have chosen to verify the correct size, quantity, shipping address, payment details, and order total. Review our FAQ, Conditions of Use, Policy pages, and 30 Day Buyer Protection Guarantee to know what to expect when shopping with us.
Step 8) Once you have everything ready, select the checkbox confirming ‘By placing your order, you agree to Team Climate Action’s conditions of use and privacy notice.’ If you used a credit card, then click/tap the ‘Place your order’ button to send the payment. If you selected PayPal, then click/tap the ‘PayPal Checkout’ button.

What happens next? After successfully placing an order a confirmation email will be sent including details for your customer account (unless you already have one you and were signed in to it) where you can track your order history, save payment and shipping details, monitor shipping progress, and get support. A tracking link will be emailed to you once the order is prepared for shipment, and an arrival notification will be emailed once the order is delivered.

If you have any questions or require assistance with placing an order, please contact us anytime.

Yes, we accept pre-paid gift cards from all major card providers, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Our payment processor communicates directly with your bank and automatically accepts or declines payment. Unfortunately, we cannot override the system. If your card is not accepted, please contact your bank or try using a different credit card.

Yes, you can cancel your order if it has not been sent to production yet, which is generally within 6 – 12 hours from the time of purchase. However, since it is not possible to cancel an order yourself once you have clicked on the ‘Confirm’ button, please contact us immediately at support@teamclimateaction.com to request a cancellation.

We are not bound to make any such cancellation of your order and make no guarantee, but we will do our best to see if anything can be done, as attempted on a case-by-case basis. Each Team Climate Action shirt is cut and hand-sewn, custom made to order especially for you, which is why it takes us a bit longer to deliver it to you.

The estimated shipping date takes 2 – 8 business days, but is not a guarantee. We consider the current order volume and our fulfillment capacity when calculating our estimated shipping time. An order might ship past its estimated shipping time due to delays with shirts being out of stock, issues with printing equipment, or other such delays.

Once your order is shipped, standard shipping times apply. You can click the order tracking link in your confirmation email to visit your order summary page for more information on the status of your order. Domestic US shipping time is usually 7 days. For some international orders, delivery times may be up to 8 weeks in certain countries depending on customs regulations. An order might arrive past it’s estimated delivery time due to delays with failed delivery attempts, wrong address, service disruptions, customs processing, natural occurrences, transfers to the local carrier in your country, air and ground transportation strikes, or other such delays.

We work hard to meet our delivery estimates with each order, however if your order has not arrived within the estimated delivery time, please contact us right away.

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping notification via email with a tracking link – check your spam folder just in case it got sent there, and then be sure to white list our email address to ensure you do not miss any important updates or unexpected changes to your delivery.

To see the delivery status of your order, click the tracking link to visit your order tracking page. You will be able to see the status of your shirt(s) in transit. You can also sign up for email tracking notifications to receive updates as soon as there is news about your shipment. So, to stay informed about shipment progress, add your email to the tracking page. *Please note: It can take 24 – 48 hours or more for tracking info to show up in a courier’s tracking system, whereby if there are no updates at first it does not necessarily mean the package is lost or not on the way. Also, the quality of tracking may differ between couriers.

(!) Be alert to theft and avoid losing out: Watch out for when your order is expected to arrive and make sure you (or your friend or family member) will be available to securely receive the package. We are not responsible for stolen packages and do not cover the cost of refunding or reshipping the order for packages marked as delivered by the courier.

Yes, international shipping is available to most countries in the world, with the exception of countries where we are not yet open for operation (like the EU, UK, Brazil), or where shipping is prohibited based on legal restrictions, shipping carrier limitations, impacts related to the Covid-19 pandemic, and other unrelated service disruptions.

The list may change, but for now, we do not ship to the following countries (last updated on Oct 24, 2023):

Afghanistan Angola Belarus Botswana Brazil Cuba Ecuador EU Countries Greece Iran Israel Laos Lesotho Libya Macao Malawi Mozambique Myanmar Namibia Niger Niue North Korea Palestine Russia Saudi Arabia South Africa South Sudan Sudan Swaziland Syria Thailand Timor-Leste Ukraine United Kingdom Yemen Zambia Zimbabwe

The list of countries where our shipping carriers do not offer international shipping may change periodically. For up-to-date information about service disruptions – see the USPS Service Alerts page.

Global flat-rate shipping is included in the price of the shirt for all shipping destinations worldwide, making it the same for everyone.

*Please note: Orders may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, brokerage fees and/or other fees, as defined and imposed by the country of import. We are not responsible for any import taxes, customs duties, brokerage fees and/or other fees. These charges must be paid by the package recipient.

The customs policy is different in each respective country, and the fee is usually based on weight, value, size, country limits and other factors. Import taxes, customs duties and fees are not included in the product price or shipping and handling costs. These fees cannot be predetermined nor prepaid, and we do not control customs charges, as they are levied on you by the destination country.

We currently do not offer expedited shipping, however we will make sure you get your order as soon as possible.

Yes, you can do so if your order has not been sent to production yet, which is generally within 6 – 12 hours from the time of purchase. However, since it is not possible to edit an order yourself once you have clicked on the ‘Confirm’ button, please contact us immediately at support@teamclimateaction.com to request a modification.

We are not bound to make any such modifications to your order and make no guarantee, but we will do our best to see if anything can be done, as attempted on a case-by-case basis. If we are unable to makes changes to your order (that is, it was too late for us to do so), then the Return Policy is in effect, whereby we do not offer refunds or exchanges for submitting the wrong address.

(!) Please double-check the shipping details before placing your order.

Any changes in shipping address may incur extra charges at your expense, depending on the new shipping destination, and may also require extra time for the package to reach you. We are unable to change your shipping address from one country to another.

We cannot take responsibility for any import taxes, customs duties, brokerage fees and/or other fees. These charges must be paid by the package recipient.

If assessed, customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer to be paid to the appropriate customs agency and will typically be due once the shipped goods arrive at the destination country. We only add the transportation fee/shipping cost for your order. The recipient is responsible for ensuring compliance with the laws and regulations of the country of destination. You can check with your country’s customs office for further information and to determine if there will be additional costs.

*Please note: Certain countries may require certain documentation before the package is delivered to you. We may require additional information to verify your payment and will contact you directly if this is the case. We appreciate your understanding and quick response so your order is not delayed. If the necessary information is not provided, this may result in delays in the order. We are not responsibility for orders seized or confiscated by customs.

There are a few reasons an order can be returned to sender, including the package being unclaimed at customs or refused/returned by the end receiver, but most often it is due to an undeliverable address.

(!) Please double-check the shipping details you entered are correct.

If your order has been returned back to us, we will contact you. We will ship the return back to you after confirming the address, however you will be responsible for the reshipment costs. Unclaimed returns get donated after 30 days.

Sorry about that! If your order is lost in transit, we will gladly send a replacement at no cost to you as part of our 30 Day Buyer Protection Guarantee. However, before doing so we may ask for your help confirming the shipping address was correct, and to double-check with the shipping courier to try locating the lost order.

To submit a claim, email your order number and expected delivery address to support@teamclimateaction.com no more than 30 days after the estimated delivery date. If there is no inventory and we are unable to replace the order, we will provide a full refund back to your original form of payment you.

If the package was marked as delivered by the courier, but you have yet to receive it, we suggest you contact the courier and inquire if any additional details were left by the delivery person. There may be cases where the delivery was made, but the package was left in an unexpected location at the delivery address (for example: “Left under chair on the back porch.”). Also, contact your local post office to see if it may be there.

In some cases, the tracking information can be incorrect, and packages are marked as delivered before they actually arrive – sorry about that! When you contact the courier, they can check to see if this is the case with your package, and give you an updated status on delivery.

In other cases, packages may be stolen from your residence or delivery destination. In such cases, we are not able to provide any refunds and cannot resend another shipment. The risk of loss and title for items pass to the customer upon delivery to the courier. It is the customer’s responsibility to file any claim with a courier for a stolen shipment. We are not able to assist with filing claims with shipping couriers after a package has been delivered. The customer assumes all responsibilities of claims made with the shipping courier for stolen shipments.

Recycled polyester, or rPET for short, is a fabric containing synthetic fiber made by melting down post-consumer plastic waste, like bottles, containers and fishing nets, and re-spinning it into new polyester fiber. Recycled polyester has the same characteristics as virgin polyester, and is very similar in terms of strength, elasticity and quality.

Repurposed for a purpose.” …is our mantra for celebrating the benefits of recycling. Unlike virgin polyester, rPET has a smaller carbon footprint due to it being produced by recycling existing materials instead of making more new waste, and requires 59 percent less energy compared to virgin polyester, according to a 2017 study by the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment. It is estimated 1 kg of recycled polyester saves 60 plastic bottles, whereby recycling 1 plastic bottle saves the equivalent of 3 hours of energy from a 60 watt light bulb. In the UK, a report by the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) estimates rPET’s production reduces CO2 emissions by 32 percent in comparison to virgin polyester; and requires 90% less water. This makes rPET a more eco-friendly fabric for improved sustainability in clothing production, and an important part of the circular economy for plastic waste – keeping stuff out of landfills and saving natural resources.

The rPET fabric we use is OEKO-TEX 100 standard and Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified.

Stock and fabric disclaimer: In case of low fabric stock, we might use comparable fabric to fulfill the order. The substitute will be as close to the original as possible.

OEKO-TEX® certification is one of the world’s leading labels for textile safety, and it proves the certified products are free from hazardous chemicals. We also use OEKO-TEX® certified sublimation printing inks.

The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) are international, voluntary standards that set requirements for third-party certification of recycled content and supply chain. The shared goal of the standards is to increase the use of recycled materials. The GRS includes criteria for social and environmental processing requirements and chemical restrictions.

As proof of the product’s safety and recycled composition, valid certificates are collected from our suppliers to verify material content, meaning you get what is described and product waste is reduced.

We use Mimaki Dye Sublimation Ink Sb411 and Sawgrass SubliJet HD ink for sublimation products. Both of these inks are Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act, (CPSIA) and OEKO-TEX® certified, which means they are safe to print on children’s clothing and reduce environmental waste.

Your custom-ordered shirt is made using all-over or sublimation printing. The design is first printed with sublimation inks onto transfer paper, which acts as a sponge holding the ink until it is sent to a heat press where the design is transferred to the fabric. The fabric then gets cut and hand-sewn to create a unique, hand-made shirt. Making products on demand instead of in bulk helps reduce overproduction, so thank you for making thoughtful purchasing decisions!

Well-trained fulfillment specialists overview each step of the production process to check quality while orders are being fulfilled, with a final quality check run after the shirt is completed. Once ready for shipping to you, the shirt is packaged in a post-consumer recycled (PCR) polymer mailer and handed over to a courier.

Cut and sew disclaimer: We cannot guarantee exact placement. Due to the peculiarities of the production process, the design may shift up to one inch when printed, cut and sewn. It’s not possible to perfectly align patterns or images from front to back. This is considered within tolerance for our quality standards.

The global fashion industry is responsible for 10% of carbon emissions and is the world’s second-largest consumer of the fresh water supply. Traditional retailers produce items before putting them up for sale, so to save money they are always manufactured in bulk. Unsold stock is usually thrown out or burned, resulting in the fashion industry alone wasting 92 million tons of textile each year with 1 in 5 garments ending up in a landfill without even being worn once.

By contrast, we only create a shirt when an order is placed, limiting our stock to items that already have a buyer. This approach lets us actually produce only what the consumer needs and avoid the overproduction common in the rest of the industry, in turn keeping an excessive amount of products away from the landfill and reducing harm. With on-demand production, waste mainly comes from items damaged during printing, with rates consistent with industry standards. We also keep our reshipment rate low by taking all orders through a multi-step quality check before we ship them out.

Also, the cheap prices traditional retailers offer come with a downside – a reduction of quality. The product quality is important because it determines how long the product will last and when you are actually going to throw it away. If you buy a cheap shirt and throw it away after the first wash or two because it’s ruined, then you are very much contributing to the problem that fast fashion is right now.

If you invest in a quality items that are going to be more durable and last longer, and you take good care of it by washing and drying it responsibly, then you are not polluting as much.

We make every effort to make sure our photos capture the actual state of the shirt as accurately as possible with the colours you see online, however due to the fact the actual colours you see will depend on your specific screen type and display settings, it therefore cannot be guaranteed your screen’s display of any colour you see will be accurate to the final product you receive.

Generally speaking, the same image on different screens may be displayed differently, which is the same situation for everyone.

We use eco-friendly packaging mostly made from post-consumer recycled plastic, or PCR for short – a material made from everyday recyclables like plastic bottles, shopping bags, wrapping films and other containers. This saves raw materials, requires less energy for production and reduces the environmental impact plastic has on the planet. The amount of recycled content for both layers of packaging is 70 – 100% when shipped from Latvia, and 90 – 100% when shipped from the US.

Our PCR plastic mailers are made from low-density polyethylene (LDPE), categorized as number 4-coded plastic. This material is recyclable, but number 4-coded plastic typically does not belong in an everyday recycling bin. Beware: If you recycle the wrong material in the wrong bin, it can contaminate the entire batch. In most places, plastic bags need to be taken to designated drop-off points like, for example, your local grocery store. Please follow your local recycling guidelines or contact your local waste management service provider and ask for instructions on how to properly dispose of 4-coded plastic.

We know there is room to improve and are always working on becoming more sustainable, as we explore even greener packaging options for the future.

Most of our orders are delivered within the same region (North America or UK/Europe) as they are fulfilled in (United States/Mexico or Latvia). Having fulfillment centers close to the majority of our customers allow for faster shipping times and lower shipping costs, and it also helps with reducing carbon (CO₂) emissions produced when transporting orders.

TeamClimateAction.com is powered by 100% renewable energy. We host with Web Hosting Canada, a hosting provider that powers its servers with hydroelectric energy – a clean, sustainable source of energy. This helps reduce the sites carbon (CO₂) emissions and contributes to a healthier planet for you and future generations!

Understanding how websites pollute: Websites are powered by servers, powerful computers in large specialized data center buildings that require considerable amounts of electricity to operate. Servers are always left on and need constant cooling to prevent overheating. In most cases, this electricity is produced by burning fossil fuels such as coal, which creates emissions that accelerate climate change. Rapid growth in the number of data centers running worldwide has led experts to predict they will make up 10% of global electricity usage by 2030, and be responsible for generating more emissions than the entire airline industry.

A shift to greener computing efforts is part of our solution to tackling the environmental dilemma of data centers, as we come to grips with the environmental impact associated with their products and services. Along with using renewable energy, data is stored on energy efficient Solid State Drives, which use a fraction of the power traditional mechanical storage requires, and eco-friendly cooling is used where servers are temperature-controlled by outside air and water cooling technology, not energy-intensive air conditioning. These green efforts are verified and certified by the Green Business Bureau.

We do not want to be creating the problem of greenhouse gas pollution at the same time we are trying to eliminate it. Clean, renewable energy, in combination with energy efficient servers and an energy conscious company culture, allows us to operate our website with very little impact on the planet.

Why it matters to you, is why it matters to us. Team Climate Action is appreciative for everything mother nature provides, and for showing us the importance of having a positive relationship with nature, each other and future generations.

We know fast fashion is a burden on the planet’s climate and there are big sustainability challenges in the fashion industry that do not have a quick fix – that’s why we avoid participating in the cycle by choosing on-demand manufacturing, in combination with other efforts, to reduce the negative impact on the environment.

Sustainability matters to our customers, our team, and of course, the planet, which is why it is high on the agenda for us. We believe in making this the norm and the way forward for a planet with finite resources. It’s an ambitious goal, so we are taking it one step at a time.

Stopping climate change starts with teamwork.
